The spaciousness of the suite and terrace. The cleanliness. The special touches of the decor and the comfort. The friendliness and helpfulness of the host.
The access to the hotel from the main street. The lack of a detailed map showing exactly where the hotel is located, and it would be helpful to know in which area of Positano the hotel is located.

My wife, two late teenage daughters and I stayed here for 2 nights in Sep. We weren't actually at the main Casa Teresa accommodation but a short 2 min walk higher up which comprised 2 rooms in a split-level arrangement, with the downstairs room having a double bed for the girls and an upstairs 'matrimonial' room having a double bed. Both rooms were great. The upstairs room was large and spacious and opened out onto a large terrace balancony with a fantastic view over the ocean. Great for relaxing in the deck chairs with a good book and glass of wine/beer. If you've never been to Positano (as we hadn't) it was a bit tricky trying to follow the GPS to this address ... what seemed to be roads on the GPS were actually pedestrian alley-ways, so on our second loop around the impossibly narrow one-way road that winds through the town, we pulled over into one of the 'conveniently' placed private garages, unloaded the bags and took them along the 1 min walk (down a few stairs) to the accommodation. Anyway once there it was great. Positano is a beautiful place, but prepare yourself for the 416 stairs down to the beach. Going down isn't so bad. Coming up ... phew. But's its worth it. A gorgeous bay-beach awaits at the bottom with a great restaurant to tempt you in for a drink and some seafood pasta. Then walk along the shoreline and through a tunnel and you pop out at the main part of Positano (5 mins) which is just fantastic with its colourful buildings and narrow shop-filled alley-ways. All in all a great place to stay.

Beautiful suite...spacious and clean
Location was down the cliff which required hauling heavy bags since no cars were allowed down that far. Also, when the air conditioning was turned on, an anrmy of ants emerged on the wall.

Room decoration was very nice, our room had a big terrace outside that overlooks the hill which was very nice. Standard Italian breakfast.
This applies to most places there but you need to take a stairs down for 5 mins and no parking space. If you have lot of luggage, prepare to get some exercise.

The family was very nice; welcoming and friendly. The room had a very nice view; was spotlessly clean....surprisingly large with a king size bed and a single bed. The washroom was large with a tub and a shower. There was a mini fridge in our room and the cost of water, soft drinks etc was very cheap...pretty much the same as it cost in corner stores.
It is not the fault of Casa Teresa but Positano is built into cliffs so there are steps everywhere. After getting off the bus we had to walk down over 100 steps with our luggage. Luckily when we checked out Dino (the grandson and breakfast provider) carried our luggage up those same steps for 10 Euros ...well worth it!!!! Breakfast was limited; no fresh fruit . Coffee, juice and a croissant with some toast was repeated every morning. We were there for 6 nights so it became a little boring. In all fairness though we were told that the government regulates what can be served to the travelling public. Not sure if this is the case. Wi Fi is spotty and very slow.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location in the heart of Positano. Good value for money.
The breakfasts are a bit limited, i.e. no choice and the coffee wasn't great. We had ants in our room but in fairness to the staff they sorted this out when we advised them of the problem.
